Hey my name is Yasmine Lucero and I'm a college freshman at the University of North Texas studying business analytics and computer science. In the future I'm hoping to work in business intelligence combining technical knowledge with my business skills.
Experiences and Projects.
During high school I spent most of my time learning the fundamentals of business and crafting a competitive advantage. And all of my schooling prepared me for a year long class project working in logistics and sales for a virtual start-up business with a group of peers. During this project we had to work together to prepare business summaries and financial statements. These documents and presentations were assessed by an international competition we attended and placed in the top ten. Not only did this project help me understand communication within a company but also gave me experience with yn8using excel, quick books, and preparing presentations.
Hobbies and Likes.
I have a few hobbies and things I like. One of my biggest hobbies I like is reading. One of my favorite book is The Picture of Dorian Gray. I like some classic and old books but I also read contemporary and romance books and manga/web novels. I also like listening to podcasts mostly comedy or conversational podcasts. But really I only listen or watch videos in the background while I'm doing work or on my phone. While I'm not in a place to travel much I do like traveling. I have extended family in Mexico and we went to a Asian Mexican fusion restaurant and it was honestly some of my favorite food. I still have a photo of the sushi we got as an appetizer pictured below. And I'm hoping to travel around northern Europe in the coming years. I also really like horror and open world games such as Genshin Impact, Demon Soul's, The Last of Us, and FNAF.
