      Вьдовиць же обидѣти не дадѣаше, люди вьсѧ, оубогꙑѩ и богатꙑѩ, миловааше, Богоу работаѭщиимъ слоужааше, црькъви мъногꙑѩ златомь крашааше.
      Vĭdovicĭ že obiděti ne daděaše, ljudi vĭsę, ubogyję i bogatyję, milovaaše, Bogu rabotajǫštiimŭ služaaše, crĭkŭvi mŭnogyję zlatomĭ krašaaše.
      He would not permit a widow to be disgraced -- he showed mercy to all people, rich or poor; he served those who served God, and adorned many churches with gold.
