  1. hardly, harshly, roughly, rudely; cruelly, severely, rigorously; rigidly, strictly
    խստիւ գնալ ընդ ումեք ― xstiw gnal ənd umekʻ ― to treat harshly, to maltreat, to rule with a high hand
    խստիւ պատուհասել ― xstiw patuhasel ― to punish rigorously, severely
    խստիւ տալ պատասխանի ― xstiw tal patasxani ― to reply harshly
