Probably a Persian formation from امن (amn, secure, safe) + ـیت (-iyat). The adjective is from Arabic أَمْن (ʔamn, security, safety, noun). A possible Arabic *أَمْنِيّة (*ʔamniyya) is not used at least in the contemporary language.
