پالرمو

Ottoman Turkish

Etymology

From Italian Palermo, from Sicilian Palermu, from Arabic بَلَرْم (Balarm), ultimately from Latin Panormus, from Ancient Greek Πάνορμος (Pánormos), from πᾰν- (pan-, all) + ὅρμος (hórmos, port), apparently because of the good natural harbor.
