گرودمان

Persian

Etymology

From Middle Persian grdmʾn (garōdmān, heaven), from Avestan 𐬔𐬀𐬭𐬋.𐬛𐬆𐬨𐬁𐬥𐬀- (garō.dəmāna-, house of song; Paradise).

The term was used in the Middle Persian era often as a synonym for 𐭥𐭧𐭱𐭲𐭩 (wahišt, Paradise), however equally in other contexts it used specifically to refer to the highest realm of Paradise.
