Compare Hebrew פֶּקַע (péka). Already present in Bar Ali’s 9th-10th century dictionary and along with ܥܲܩܪܘܼܩܵܐ (ˁaqrūqā) displaced the older ܐܘܼܪܕܥܵܐ (urdˁā).
