วายปราณ

From วาย (waai, “to end; to expire”) +‎ ปราณ (bpraan, “breath”).

1. (literary, poetic) to die.

   แต่พระเจ้าสเตฟาน ยังทรงกลัวพระธิดาจะวายปราณ จึงทรงมีบัญชาให้เครื่องปั่นฝ้ายทั้งมวลในอาณาจักรถูกเผาทิ้งไปในวันนั้น และก็เป็นไปตามพระประสงค์

   But King Stefan, still fearful of his daughter's life, did then and there decree that every spinning wheel in the kingdom should on that very day be burnt. So it was done.
   (Literally) But King Stefan still feared that his divine daughter might perish. So he issued a command that all the spinning wheels in the kingdom be burnt away on that very day. And it happened in accordance with his divine desire.
