Decomposition of (die) into the katakana characters (ta) and (hi) + the verbal suffix 〜る (-ru).

タヒる • (tahiru) intransitive godan (stem タヒり (tahiri), past タヒった (tahitta))

Usage notes

The imperative form may also be タヒね (tahine).

On the Internet, タヒ is usually written in half-width katakana so as to resemble the kanji more.
