タヒる
Japanese
Etymology
Decomposition of 死 (“die”) into the katakana characters タ (ta) and ヒ (hi) + the verbal suffix 〜る (-ru).
Verb
タヒる • (tahiru) intransitive godan (stem タヒり (tahiri), past タヒった (tahitta))
- (slang) to die
- (slang) to feel so bad that one feels one could die
Usage notes
The imperative form may also be タヒね (tahine).
On the Internet, タヒ is usually written in half-width katakana so as to resemble the kanji 死 more.
