Etymology

From (かべ) (kabe, wall) + ドン (don, onomatopoeia for a pounding noise).

Noun

(かべ)ドン • (kabedon) 

  1. Pounding on a wall to indicate to a neighbor that they are noisy.
  2. When someone puts their hand against a near wall (romantically or hostilely), creating a barrier with their arm and preventing someone else from moving.
