Neugier ist der Katze Tod
German
Etymology
Literally, “curiosity is the cat's death”, probably a loose calque of English curiosity killed the cat. According to Google Ngram Viewer, the Germanized proverb was essentially nonexistent prior to the early 2000s and has been steadily increasing in usage since then.[1]
