Oudehaske
Dutch
Etymology
First attested as hasca in 1315. Borrowed from West Frisian Aldehaske, probably derived from a compound of Old Frisian ald (“old”) and *haske (“a species of grass”). The element âld was added to distinguish the settlement from Nijehaske.
