Inherited from Old East Slavic хуи (xui), from Proto-Slavic *xȗjь (penis), from Proto-Balto-Slavic *skaujás, from Proto-Indo-European *skowyós, from *skwey- (thorn, needle, prickle).[1][2] Cognate with Russian хуй (xuj).
