Etymology
From Proto-Indo-European *dʰru-wó-s, from *dʰer-us ~ *dʰr-éws + *-wós, from *dʰer- (“to support, hold”) + *-us.[1][2][3] Possibly related to Proto-Slavic *sъdorvъ (“healthy”).
