Proto-Muskogean
Alternative forms
- *ilok¢iCa
Reconstruction notes
- There exists no (other) reconstruction with root-initial *ilo, which leads Booker to suggest that this term could be reconstructed as *ilok¢iCa. This could explain Hitchiti and Mikasuki word-initial *y, through weakening of *ilo to *iyo.
