Proto-Tocharian
Etymology
Uncertain. Possibly a borrowing from a putative Proto-Iranian *Hácwā or derived from Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰew- (“to pour”), for which compare German gießen (“to pour, cast liquid metal/glass”).
