Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /vɛrˈsaɪ̯ər/, /vɛrˈzaɪ̯ər/, [vɛʁˈsaɪ̯.ɐ], [vɛɐ̯-], [ʋ-], [-ˈzaɪ̯.ɐ]
- While /s/ is now most usual, the form with /z/ appears to remain somewhat commoner in this adjective than in the underlying proper noun.

- Found especially in Versailler Vertrag (“Treaty of Versailles”) and Versailler Diktat. The form Versailler Schloss (“Palace of Versailles”) is also used, but more often Schloss Versailles.
