Zwinglïad
Welsh
Etymology
From Kant (“surname of Prussian philosopher Immanuel Kant”) + -iad.
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /swɪŋˈɡliː.ad/
Usage notes
- Being derived from a proper name, Zwinglïad does not have its spelling adapted to typical Welsh orthographic conventions, which do not use the letter z. See also Kantiad (“a Kantian”).
- Like many other unnaturalised nouns recently derived from other languages, Zwinglïad does not undergo initial mutation.
