Etymology
From Proto-Katuic *ɗaak ~ *ɗəək, from Proto-Mon-Khmer *ɗaak, from Proto-Austroasiatic *ɗaːk. Cognate with Eastern Bru dỡq, Pacoh daq, Eastern Katu đác. Outside Katuic, compare Bahnar đak, Muong đác and Vietnamese nước.
