Etymology
From the New Latin genus name Eucalyptus or French eucalyptus, named by French botanist Charles Louis L'Héritier de Brutelle in the 18th century after Ancient Greek εὖ (eû, “well”) + καλυπτός (kaluptós, “covered”).
