Etymology

Borrowed from Hindi झटका (jhaṭkā, sudden movement, jerking) or Punjabi ਝਟਕਾ (jhaṭkā), from Sanskrit झटिति (jhatiti, immediately, at once). Not related to Slovak jatka (slaugherhouse).
