- 1975, Sten Lindroth, Svensk lärdomshistoria, II. Stormaktstiden, page 542:
- What Polhem envisioned in his dreams and preached in his writings was an industrialized Sweden, rich and happy with flourishing factories, where the country's resources were refined. It was the utilitarian core idea of the Age of Liberty – at its peak, fittingly, Polhem's posthumous Patriotic Testament (1761) was published, actually a small handbook on iron and steel refinement.
- 2017 March 19, Johanna Lemström, “Gittas tomater på god väg ["Gitte's tomatoes are on a good path."]”, in Västra Nyland:
Så det blir potatis, jordärtskockor, morötter, rödbetor, bönor, pumpor, gurkor, jordgubbar, tomater …- –I cultivate on allotment plots at Novia instead. Both vegetables and flowers, she says.
There are quite a few varieties, but Gitte's main idea is to focus on things she enjoys eating. So, there will be potatoes, Jerusalem artichokes, carrots, beets, beans, pumpkins, cucumbers, strawberries, tomatoes...
- –I cultivate on allotment plots at Novia instead. Both vegetables and flowers, she says.
