  1. (transitive, intransitive) to pass, go past or through a specific place
  2. (intransitive) to penetrate, infiltrate, permeate, leak
  3. (time, intransitive) to pass
    Ғүмер тиҙ үтә.
    Ğümer tiź ütə.
    Life passes fast.
    Үткән ғүмер - аҡҡан һыу.
    Ütkən ğümer - aqqan hıw.
    Life that has past is (like) water that has flowed.
  4. (test, transitive, intransitive) to pass, take some type of test, examination, check etc.
  5. (traing, transitive) to take, go through, complete some course, training, topic, unit etc.
  6. (merchandise, intransitive) to be sold; sell well, be in demand
    Synonym: һатылыу (hatılıw)
  7. (cutting tools, intransitive) to be sharp, cut well
  8. (death, intransitive) to die (especially recently), pass away
